At Home Clay Kit
Simple Things Ceramics clay kits are a creative therapy sesh in a box! The most relaxing way to unplug and get your hands dirty. Each kit is beginner friendly and includes everything you need to make something beautiful:
- Clay
- Carving & Sculpting Tools
- Smoothing Sponge
- Craft paper working surface
Our clay comes in two varieties a mid fire cone 5 terra cotta clay and high fire cone 10 light to medium tan clay. Once glazed and fired the natural speckles of these sweet clays will come through. You can make 2-4 pieces from the clay in the kit and its always fun to share with a friend.
Sculpting tools. You are going to be using your hands most of the time but tools always come in handy for smoothing out the edges and getting into the nooks and crannies of your masterpiece. The needle tool is perfect for carving and your unique artist signature.
Firing. You'll need a serious kiln to fire your work to make it food safe. If you live in LA area, drop off the clay kit creations at my Redondo Beach or in one of our local partner studios. If you are outside of LA area, you'll need to find a firing place for your creations.
There are free virtual class resources on YouTube but if you want a more personal experience, book a virtual or in person one-on-one class or a clay party with me! I’ll teach you how to make mugs, pots and vases or anything else your heart desires.
